lesson: christs death and resurrection
luke 24:6 ...he is not here. he is risen!!!
one day billy bunny was telling his friend, freddy frog, the story of jesus resurrection. freddy frog listened very carefully as billy told him that jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins and they put him in a tomb. after three days, he rose from the dead, billy continued.
freddy asked, how did they know he rose from the dead?
because he talked to one of the nice ladies who came to the tomb to put some sweet perfume on his body, billy replied. he also walked and spoke with two friends on the road to emmaus. and he even went to visit the disciples at someones house.
freddy frog sat quietly as billy continued, he stayed a little while with his friends and then he rose up in the air and went to heaven.
does that mean he is up in heaven now? asked freddy frog.
yes, he is but he is also living in the hearts of everyone who loves him.
freddy thought for a moment and said im glad jesus is living in my heart. now i know whenever i need him, he is always close by.
